The New York Times reported today that a classified CIA cable describes the future of Iraq as much bleaker than the Bush administration's current public characterizations. The cable, sent last month, was authored by the CIA station chief in Baghdad following the completion of a one-year tour of duty.
When contacted about the cable, the Bush administration refused to comment or release the name of the cable's author. They did, however, release the below photograph in which the agent's face has been obscured.
